While getting her hair done by the lovely Nataliya, Rachel opened presents her mum had prepared for her, which included a war medal from her grandad, as a gift for Jeff.\n\nAfter getting ready, they had the most beautiful first look on their balcony, overlooking the Lohner peaks. Before we left their hotel, they collected a pic-nic the hotel had made specially for them.\nOeschinensee is generally pretty crowded, but not this time, luckily for us! This is why I always advise my clients to pick a date on a weekday for their elopement, as it can make a huge difference in well-known spots.\n\nAfter they chose their ceremony spot, it was time to read their vows, which was such a sweet and emotive moment.\n\nAfter popping champagne (we made sure to keep the cork, Leave No Trace y'all!), Rachel & Jeff found a cute spot in the nearby forest to have their picnic, and read letters their loved ones had written for them. I would lie to you if I said that this isn't one of my favourite activities to suggest to couples. Feeling the presence of your friends and families, however far they are, is such a moving thing to experience on a day like that.\nIt was then time for Rachel & Jeff to start their elopement hike, and to explore this truly majestic place. We were lucky enough to see mountain goats several times, and even a herd! It always makes me so happy when overseas clients get to see the local wildlife, as I'm myself amazed every time I see some.\nAs the weather got gloomier and we heard thunder in the distance, we decided to call it a day and to hike down to Kandersteg.
