Back in April, Ahmed reached out to me for a special surprise he wanted to make to his lovely wife: to gift her a photoshoot tour in the DDLJ filming locations, her favourite movie, that has been partially filmed in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had never heard of the movie before but absolutely loved the chance to discover another culture, and was amazed when I saw some famous scenes on Youtube, that took place in my own tiny country! (You\u2019re probably laughing if you\u2019re reading that, since DDLJ is so famous in India).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together we concocted an itinerary that would allow them to take some couple pictures in the most iconic DDLJ filming locations in Switzerland. Here\u2019s what we did (and what you can do too!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Most of them are situated in the canton of Bern, in what is called the Bernese Oberland region. You can access all those locations by public transport, as our train system is really performant, especially in that touristic region. I would still recommend renting a car if you don’t have a lot of time or don’t want to rely on train schedules! If you wish to travel by train, you can buy a Swiss Travel Pass<\/strong><\/a>, that’ll grant you unlimited travel on public transport (including train, boat and bus) during a certain amount of time.<\/p>\n\n\n
