Your Switzerland and Scotland elopement photographer.
a bit more about me
To me, a relationship should be a safe place, where you can be yourself without being judged. And honestly, I wouldn’t want anyone to have differently on their wedding day. An elopement to me, is a way of celebrating your relationship in a safe way, without the need to act a certain way or to do certain things. This is why I’m so passionnate about it!
Other than that, I’m a huge animal lover. I have a cat and a dog and I pretty much consider them my children. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them hanging around in the garden, munching on grass or trying to catch some insect.
I was raised in a small village in the mountains (no, not like Heidi), and as a child, I spent a lot of time reading, and wandering around in the garden or in the nearby woods. I remember secretly reading Harry Potter and hiding it under my matress because my mum thought I was too young for that book, lol! Little did she know that this book series would spark an interest in anything magic, something that never left me. Reading stories was my escape from the real world, and it still is in some way. I always unconsciously search for that touch of magic when I take pictures!
How I became an elopement photographer
I remember saying I wanted to be a photographer ever since I was a kid. I started doing photography when I was 15, shooting my friends local bands’ concerts, as music has always been a big interest of mine. I did that for years and starting travelling to take pictures of the bands that I loved. In the meantime, I studied photography here in Switzerland. I eventually started my own business at the end of 2019, and started shooting weddings.
In the midst of the world’s madness, I slowly started realising that traditional weddings weren’t exactly my thing. That’s exactly when I discovered elopements. I immediately loved the idea! I love spending time in nature and hiking, my favourite part of a wedding day is when the couple is on their own, and I love spending time with fewer people, learning to know them.
My values and how they shape my business
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always felt different, out of place. I’ve been told several times that I was too sensitive, and so my childhood hasn’t been the easiest. Those experiences shaped my values today. I never want anyone to feel like they’re too weird or like they don’t belong. This is why inclusivity and kindness are really huge to me. I believe that if everyone was able communicate better, and listen to what others think and feel, the world would be a better place.
Growing up close to nature, and having been raised with the environment in mind, nature protection and doing the least harm possible is important to me. This is why I'm a certified Leave No Trace photographer, which means that I always intend to educate my couples, and leave the place in a better state than when we found it. In my personal life, this means reducing our waste, eating plant-based, and avoiding the plane when travelling. Even for your Scotland elopements!
